Welcome to March House Self Catering.

With the backdrop of Craig Mhigeachaidh (the whispering mountain) in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, Caledonian pinewoods sheltering the house to the north and extensive views of Glen Feshie stretching far to the south, this is a truly unique location. With peace, perfect peace.

The house is surrounded by spectacular scenery, wildlife and birds with daily visits from red squirrels, woodpeckers, occasional mountain hare and pine martens. Unusual native pine forest birds including crested tits and cross bills also visit the garden.

March House has a very comfortable, welcoming feel, an open plan kitchen and sitting room with a central wood burning stove and a large pine conservatory dining room with stunning views.

6 bedrooms upstairs have 4 luxury ensuite shower rooms plus another shared by 2 rooms comfortably sleeping 12 adults in 3 king sized beds or 3 flexible zippable twins.

Local attractions are varied and plentiful; soar the clouds in the peace of a glider; make a splash at Loch Insh water sports activity centre with cafe and restaurant; go wild at Kincraig's Highland  Wildlife Park where the polar bears are the star attractions; indulge in  the best cakes around at the Potting Shed at Inshriach Nursery surrounded with bird feeders;  mount up at Alvie riding stables with treks over local estates;  visit the high mountain tops on the Cairngorm funicular railway with skiing in winter; loose golf balls on the 6 courses within a 15 mile radius; family friendly adventures at Landmark Forest Adventure Park; extensive mountain bike routes out the door and downhill mountain trails at Laggan Wolftrax; sample the Speyside Malt whisky trail; hike low level and mountain paths; shooting and fishing at Rothiemurchus estate; enjoy spotting the Moray Firth Dolphins; visit the world famous ospreys at Loch Garten and Insh; see the UK's only free roaming reindeer herd in their natural habitat at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre and no visit is complete without a trip on the Strathspey Steam railway.
