My sister had two spaniels when she stayed in a house called "Hillcrest." One was called Zebedee (whose tail never seemed to stop wagging) and the other was called Ugli (and had an endearing doleful expression).

The Laird of Lemana

David Scott delighted in telling of the time a visitor who had misheard the name of his house, Lemana, tried to locate the house which he thought he had been told was called "The Manor."
