Welcome to Mostonbrae Bearded Collies

My name is Veronica Upton and I live in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK with my husband, Laurie and our son, Ken.

We have always loved Bearded Collies and in 2003 my dream came true when I finally became the proud owner of my first Bearded Collie. I will always be grateful to the late Sally Tomlinson and Lesley Tomlinson for letting Ellie (Coalacre Love Sonnet) come to live with us, along with Kyle, our Rough Collie and our four cats.
I started training Ellie as soon as she had completed her first course of vaccinations. Bearded Collies are extremely friendly, highly intelligent and especially boisterous, lovable dogs.
Ellie has been a member of various training / obedience and agility classes and was a member of a display team at 18m of age. She has also performed well in the ring considering that she only started Ringcraft at 2 years old.
Ellie is a wonderful character and has an extremely sociable and friendly temperament she absolutely adores anyone fortunate enough to meet her.
She excells herself in obedience and agility although we only take part for fun not in competition.

During 2004 we decided that Ellie would be happier with a little friend to play with. It was here that we decided to look for another Beardie in late 2004. We eventually found and became very proud owners of another girl, Beth, a fawn.
I would especially like to thank Wendy Hines (Ramsgrove) for letting us have Beth (Ramsgrove Wild Thyme). Ellie and Beth loved each other from the moment they met and are now quite inseparable. Beth has been to puppy agility / obedience training but she soon decided that it wasn’t for her so I decided to do my training at home, soon after this we decided to start showing Beth from an early age , so began Ringcraft at 4 months old. She is wonderful in the ring and struts her stuff like a real show off! She qualified for Crufts at her very first Championship Show at The Welsh Kennel club and received a First at Midland Counties a few weeks later .She was placed at Cruft 2006 recieving a VHC in Junior Bitch OO14 of which I was delighted as there are very few Fawn's being shown at present.
Beth is definitely a little tinker, a show stopper and a real crowd pleaser.
