KEIGHLEY DARTS AND DOMINO WINTER LEAGUE RULES

GENERAL RULES

1) All teams wishing to register with the league MUST have a representative present at the A.G.M. to register their team for the forthcomlng season. The committee to vet all new teams with regards to wich division they will play in.

2) Each team registered with the league is requested to provide suitable facilities for both darts and dominoes, on games night i.e. WEDNESDAY.

3) One representative from each team must attend the monthly meeting. A £1 fine will be payable by any team not represented.

4)Each new team will be required to pay an entrance fee of £5 on joining the league. if this is subsequently used in fines a further £5 must be paid BEFORE the team plays another match.

5) A levy of 25p per game is to be paid by every playing person.Each team representative is required to collect this levy, £5-50p per team per match,which is to be paid to the treasurer at the next monthly meeting.

6) A rule may only be altered/changed at the Annual General Meeting.

7) All officials,Cairman,Secretary,Treasurer and Trustees, to be elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.

8) All result cards must be filled in correctly and signed by both captains. THE ONUS IS ON THE HOME TEAM CAPTAIN TO ENSURE THAT THE RESULT CARDS ARE SENT TO THE SECRETARY, THESE TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 1-00pm THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY LUNCHTIME. CARDS MAY ALSO BE LEFT AT THE KINGS HEAD. THERE WILL BE A FINE OF £1  LEVIED FOR LATE RESULT CARDS, ALSO 1 DART POINT AND 1 DOMINOE POINT WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR ALL LATE CARDS. (home team only).

9) All disputes must be settled  on games nights by the respective captains. If this proves impossible, the result card must be delivered to the secretary as  normal but unsigned and with a written explanation as to what happened. BOTH CAPTAINS MUST THEN ATTEND THE NEXT MONTHLY MEETING WHERE THE DISPUTE WILL BE RESOLVED.

10) A registration fee of £1 is payable by every player on or before a date is fixed annually at the A.G.M. This fee enables a player to play both darts and dominoes. TWO PLAYERS MAY BE REGISTERED BY EITHER TEAM ON GAMES NIGHTS ALL THROUGH THE SEASON. THE REGISTRATION FEE TO BE PAID AT THE NEXT MEETING. PLAYERS CAN ALSO BE REGISTERED AT MONTHLY MEETINGS.

NEW LICENSEES MAY REGISTER AT ANY TIME, THIS INCLUDES RELIEF LICENSEES.

11) Any team playing a non registered player will be suspended for the remainder of the season. ALL RESULTS FOR THE SEASON WILL BE NULL AND VOID AND ALL POINTS FOR GAMES PLAYED BY THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM ALL RESULTS.

12) Any player not having played for the team, which he/she is registered for, may at any time during the season apply for a transfer. The player must first notify the SECRETARY in writing and then attend the following monthly meeting. A  player registering with more than one team is officially registered with the first team he/she plays for.

13) Only two current county squad members per team, male or female,may play on any games night.

14) Teams who fail to turn up for a game will be penalised as follows.Average points will be awarded to the non offending team for both darts and doms in which ever half of the season it occurs the offending team will lose the same amount of pointsfor both darts and doms also the offending team and not the pub/club has to pay for the food that the home team has put on for the games night  i.e. £20 a team must have at least 4 players in attendance.                                   

 

15) Any player who is barred from any establishment at which he/she is due to play at must obtain permission from the respective licensee. In the event of this affecting the doubles or individuals competitions, the players venue will be changed.

16) The entry fee for individuals and doubles competitions is £1 per player. This fee MUST be paid before the start of the relevant competition.

17) Pairings for doubles competitions can be made up from any players who are registered with league. In the doubles a player who finds himself/herself without the named partner, for any reason, will be excluded.

18) All individuals and doubles to be played on wednesdays and not postponed for any reason whatsoever.

19) TEAMS OWING MONEY TO THE LEAGUE TO BE SUSPENDED FROM THE LEAGUE UNTIL SUCH MONEY  OWED IS PAID TO THE TREASURER. NO PLAYER WHO WAS SIGNED ON WITH TEAMS OWING MONEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE FOR TWO YEARS.

20) NO GAMES to be cancelled. in the event of adverse weather conditions the committee to make the decision as to weather games are cancelled.

21) The league to supply the following medals:-

   DARTS WINNERS AND RUNNERS UP          10 EACH

   DOMINOE WINNERS AND RUNNERS UP     12 EACH

 The remainder of the prize fund to be donated to a charity chosen by the delegates at the monthly meetings.

In the event of any division being drawn at the end of the season, play-offs will be held at a NEUTRAL venue, which will be decided by the committee.

22) Once a game has started no breaks are allowed until the game has been completed.
