My website is for all of you to share, because we are all sea anglers together.
I hope I can impart my angling years to you all and maybe pass on a few tips on the way..
My angling career started way back in the 60's on the east coast and living virtually next door to a fishing tackle shop and also just a cast away from the beach!
All this combined has led me to a fantastic fishing trip which has lasted over 50 years and I have enjoyed every fishy minute of it.
My love in life is catching rays of all shapes and sizes! Having held the British record for the spotted ray, and returning two record breaking stingrays plus a personal best painted ray of 13lb 6oz.
I also love my cod fishing, although in recent years what with rising temperatures the east coast has struggled somewhat with those bigger cod. But Walton pier in my earlier years was a great place to be and I landed fish to 19lbs! Plus a few lost that of course were much bigger..
I did manage to land a 22 pounder from the Aldeburgh beaches in the late 90's and was a personal best from the beach for me.
In recent years as I have got older I have slowed down slightly! and I am now more into what I love the best, writing!
I had a great time working for Total Sea Fishing and also the great magazine Sea Fishing that unfortunately its greatness was also its downfall. We were bought out by another magazine and closed down. But upwards and onwards and I now write for the online magazine Planet Sea Fishing plus media manager for that great fishing line company ULTIMA..
In between all this I have my own column of which I own "All at Sea" and is a weekly report of my thoughts and reports for the South East coast papers.
My time with Sky Sports Tight Lines came to an end when it finished after 20 years through lack of funding, but I had some great times in the studio and out on location and you can still find all of these on the "Podcast" We were in talks of planning a trip to my beloved Iceland when things came to an untimely halt..
My next ambition is to finish my book which is still in its infancy, but that is because I have had so much else happening in my fishing world it has gone by the wayside.
I am at present working with St Leger Rods and Maver and Tronixpro...
