14 November 2017Statement from Chairman on Club Facebook Page Thanking Sunday Coaches for Their Time & Efforts

Inverness Shinty Club would like to thank all Sunday coaches over the years for their time and efforts.

It's a busy time for the Club where there is an ambitious but achievable development plan in place to strengthen the shinty provision in the Inverness area though the Inverness Shinty Academy.

So far the numbers of new players and coaches engaged has exceeded expectations in the relatively short time-scale of 2 years. There have never been more opportunities for the young people of Inverness to play our sport.

The decision to discontinue Sunday training was not taken quickly. The structured development plan is all aimed at increased participation and providing pathways for everyone to play. We can accommodate the hugely growing numbers best via the Academy.

Although everyone naturally has their own views - any comments of a personal nature will be removed.

Arran (Chair, ISC)
