Inverness Shinty Club Announce New Head Coach
Former Scotland Manager Drew MacNeil has been unveiled as the new head coach of Inverness Shinty Club.
Confirming the appointment Inverness President Peter Gow said;"We are delighted to announce Drew as the club's new head coach. He will be taking charge of our first team for the 2015 campaign and will be working with all our coaches to assist the club in its continued development. Drew brings a lot of experience to the table and we feel he is a great fit for the club."
Commenting on his appointment MacNeil said; "Inverness has great potential and I am relishing the challenge. I look forward to working with the coaches at the club to enhance the work which is currently being undertaken and to realise a player pathway within the club."

14 October 2014Death of Former Inverness Player - Derick ( Chers ) Matheson

The funeral of Roderick (Chers) Matheson of Kiltarlity will be held on Saturday, 18th Oct, at 10.15 a.m., in Kiltarlity Church of Scotland, followed by interment in churchyard thereafter. Derick passed away peacefully at home after a long illness bravely borne with his family round him on Wednesday 8th Oct.

Derick was a former player and committee member of Lovat Shinty Club and also played for Inverness for a short time. He is survived by his wife Suzi and children Emma, Alexander, Fergus and Abby.

All welcome to attend. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Melanoma UK/the Highland Hospice may be given at the service or forwarded to D. Chisholm & Sons, Huntly Street, Inverness, IV3 5HP
