First of new Monthly Discussion Evenings
05 May 2007
On Monday 30th April we had the first of the short series of Discussion Evenings.  They are being held in the Committee Room of the Culloden Centre-Library.
It was a lovely summery evening and the windows looked out onto the fresh greenery of grass, shrubs and trees.  The room is a nice cosy size but adequate for the numbers anticipated, with a long table and comfortable chairs.  We took a cold drink for accompanying biscuity refreshments, but the kind and helpful caretaker seems happy to boil water for hot drinks too.  The adjoining library seems very well stocked and stays open till 8.30 pm.
This first evening began with about 15 minutes of readings and prayers with a connection to the Environment, also started off and ended with very pleasant music.  It was natural and easy to consider the content of what had been read, and we certainly agreed with the need for the Spiritual dimension to our worldly concerns, in this case the case of relationship with our environment.

The following topics of Justice (28th May) and Nature of the Soul (25th June) will provide much to look forward to in content, as will the venue in conviviality and nice atmosphere.
