Once more we have held the competition for the Britoil Trophy when we had an entry of 16 Triples from various clubs.

This year, for the first time, we had an entry from Assynt (R. Taylor, M. Kelly and I. MacLeod) who had a wonderful run in the competition, reaching the semi-finals along with three teams from our own club. Unfortunately for them they, along with the home triple of H. MacDougall, I. MacDougall and J. Hosie, lost out at this point but hopefully they returned home with good memories and new friends.

The final was very close fought, although this would not appear to be the case to anyone who just saw the score as this looked as though it was easy for the winners.  The runner-ups, who played some excellent bowls but just required that extra bit of luck were C. McBay, A. Fraser and M. Cooper.  Throughout the day this triple had close games but until the final had managed to win through.

The winners of the competition this year were A. McDonald, E. McDonald and M. Benson. Congratulations and Well Done.
