Bess ( Brambledale Bessie Black) owned by Jacqui  played the part of a Tudor sheepdog in the second episode of  Tudor Monastery Farm.  Hugh accompanied Bess in her endeavours in the guise of a Tudor shepherd. The programme was very interesting explaining how the wealth of medieval England was built on sheep and the production of wool.
