RenewablesHeddle Construction have been involved with renewable energy projects since the first prototype wind turbine was erected on Burgar Hill in the early 1980's. In recent times we have carried out civils and crane support services for several windfarm developments. Our experience of working in outreach places throughout the Orkney Islands - along with our knowledge of heavy civil engineering in harsh environments - stands us in good stead for these types of contracts. More recently, we have become involved with the marine renewable sector, providing civil works at Billia Croo, Stromness. We have competed work for EMEC test site and Aquamarine Power Ltd's Oyster 1 and Oyster 2 projects.
