Crane Hire & Contract Lift ServicesWe carry out all of the crane hire within the Orkney Islands and our experienced staff will advise you of your options.
Our all-terrain Liebherr cranes offer a range of lifting capacities, boom height and reach options. They are maintained to the highest standards and are operated by experienced and qualified operatives. Our current fleet comprises of a 220 ton LTM1220-5.2, a 60 ton LTM1055-3.2 and two 40 ton LTM1040-2.1.
All crane hire companies work to the terms and conditions of the CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) and in accordance with BS7121 (“The Safe Use of Cranes”).
Option 1 - CPA Crane Hire In accordance with Health and Safety Executive guidelines, Heddle Construction can only provide a crane on a CPA Crane Hire basis if the customer provides a qualified and experienced appointed person to plan and take responsibility for the lifting operation, as well as provide all the relevant insurances for the lift.
In this high risk industry we recommend that customers who are not experienced in hiring cranes and therefore are not aware of the responsibilities, duties and risks take advantage of our CPA Contract Lift service for peace of mind. We provide our customers with a complete professional tailor-made package and manage the whole lifting process from initial concept right through to supervising the final lift.
