The Blog section is now open... Bellsdyke Meadows I bought a New Charles Church home in Jan 2011,the factor named by them at time of purchase was Hacking & Paterson(not a problem)then some 11 months later a glossy package drops through the letterbox from Greenbelt, appointed factors for my development with a nce bill for work to be carried out next year!!I,so far,am refusing to pay it and 3 weeks down the line have recieved a red letter with an £18.40 late payment charge, laughable considering that they are asking for payment for something that they havn't supplied yet!!I have a waste piece of ground to the rear aspect of my property which is overgrown and full of rubbish, this hasn't been touched since i moved in and Greenbelt are supposed to look after this. Not only am i not paying this on principal to what looks like a bunch of cowboys but i do put a lot of blame on the housebuilders who clearly have these guys living in there back pockets... Posted by Gavin Fraser on 13 December 2011 greenbelt has it been known for greenbelt to interfear in a house sale when never bean paid AT ALL Posted by brian on 24 November 2011 Charles Church, Larbert I live on the Charles Church estate in Larbert and for 10 months have paid Hacking & Paterson for the ground maintenance, now we hear that our estate is actually part of a consortium of builders, and we have to pay Greenbelt for land that is 1km away and sits on a motorway banking. Is it common for a site to have two factors covering different things, at the moment Greenbelt want roughly half the payment at £54, I’m sure this will rocket as the years go on. They don’t like it when you call and inform them you are disputing the charges either, all she could say was “that’s up to you if you refuse to pay, you will be getting the late payment charge as well”, she couldn’t grasp that I wasn’t refusing to pay, I was disputing the bill. Posted by Andy on 28 October 2011 Bellsdyke Meadows Falkirk I moved into my Charles Church home almost 1 year ago in December 2010, 10 months later i have received a bill from Greenbelt for the reduced amount of £54, this will increase as they adopt future parts of the estate, before i purchased the house the only mention verbally and on the reservation agreement is for Hacking & Patterson for £9 per month, now we hear that our estate is part of a larger development consisting of other builders and we need to pay for parts of the bigger site that are over 1 mile away. The red bills are now arriving and they say the fact I dispute them won’t stop the late charges being added. Posted by Andy on 27 October 2011 greenbelt kirkliston greenbelt charge residents £35.36 per year to maintain an area they own outwith but adjacent to our estate. The land is a steep bank of mature trees leading down to a pond. It is fenced off and inaccessible and requires no maintenance. I have paid for 3 years but am stopping now.
