Many thanks to Bosun Bob for ensuring both safety boats were fully fuelled for today's sailing session, Sunday 30th July. We seem to have had so few sessions this month it was good to have such a good one today.

It was really great to see 2 juniors from the recent beginners course, Iona McWhinney and Iona Browne. They did very well in a Topper. We hope to see more of them and others.

Sinclair provided safety cover just for them with the Whaly, whilst myself, Ian, Jack & Natasha looked after the other sailors, Peter T, Alistair and Angus.

Perfect conditions, dry with gentle breezes albeit a bit variable at times. No incidents - just a great day out on the water doing what we all want to be doing.

I was sorry we couldn't accommodate a family of youngsters who turned up with no sailing experience. Unfortunately there was no one to take them out on the Wayfarer.

Just another example of the limited numbers of regular sailors we have. Let's hope for lots more sailing opportunities in the coming months.

Lots of practice for the Regatta in September would be great.
