GBC Autumn Series 2021

After our Mini Regatta, we have now managed to have some Sunday races to kick-off our Autumn Series. Hopefully, there shall be more than just the first two!

Races 1 and 2 were held in challenging conditions with both the Topper and the Vision having reefed mainsails, while Carol breezed round in her Laser with its 4.7 sail. Our policy in the last couple of years of trying to time our sessions with adequate water in the harbour payed off, however, because with even half a metre less tide the problem of getting out of the harbour in the face of such a stiff breeze would have been considerable. The wind relented slightly during the racing, and although it returned just as the racing finished, by this time everyone was having a blast.
