Friends of Lochend Park - first public meeting
A group of 13 local residents met at St Ninians Church Hall on September 3rd... The first public meeting of the Friends of Lochend Park...
All were agreed that Lochend Park was not receiving due care and attention and that by forming a "Friends" Group they could have a greater impact on the Council.
They also agreed that Lochend Loch was a unique wildlife habitat and needed recognition as such...

The Park's long and fascinating history....
The new access possibilities when the Powderhall railway line closes....
The recent flooding around the Lochs edges...
Concerns that the new football pitch funded by the Council should be available to all...
Publicising the Friends using "the speaker" the local free community paper.....
Planning events in the park........
The groups plans to form a constituted Friends group with office bearers and are planning an inaugural public meeting. Contact the group at lochendpark@yahoo.com
