Findhorn Marina Cruising is the offshore cruising element of Findhorn Marina which is one of the few RYA Training Centres on the east coast 
of Scotland.
Situated on the shores of Findhorn Bay, on south coast of the Moray Firth, it is about 30 miles east of Inverness. Click on the map for the location. For your SatNav the postcode is IV36 3YE.
As well as being an excellent training area, the Moray Firth has an abundance of marine life including bottlenosed dolphins, orcas, minkie whales, basking sharks and numerous seals, many of which are frequently seen during our practical courses.
All practical training, ranging from 
2 to 5 days long, is conducted on Celtic Ros, a modern Beneteau Oceanis Clipper with 2 double cabins and 2 single berths. Some courses include sleeping onboard, visiting different harbours each night. On these longer courses you are fed and accommodated on board for the whole period and couples will always be allocated a double berth cabin.
As well as learning new skills, improving existing ones or just gaining more experience, it is an exciting adventure holiday too, leading to world wide recognised RYA qualifications which are now legally required by many countries if you want to sail your own yacht or charter for a holiday.
During the winter
we also offer a 40 hour, Day Skipper and Yachtmaster Theory Course, 1 night a week for 2 hours over 20 weeks. This course is designed to prepare you for the Day Skipper 5 day practical course.
