Cromarty Firth from Jackson Graveyard, Swordale Hill Posted by Mike Showers on 09 June 2010 Bogreach This site is fantastic. I have been searching for the area that my GGG grandfather - Malcolm Ross lived (Bogreach) which is now called Fannyfield. I also knew that Malcolm died between 1841 and 1851 but as a result of your historical information I now know he was still living in 1845 - again norrowing the field. I have search endless for his death records with no luck, but will now concentrate my search around Swordale as this is very near where he lived. Keep up the great work. Lyn Posted by Lyn Ross on 09 June 2010 very good! I stumbled across this quite accidentally, and have enjoyed reading about the history of the village. Are copies of the booklets available to buy? cheers, Pete Posted by Pete McNair on 15 March 2010 Hi Pete Currently out of copies and the photocopying proved a bit of a headache; thus the reason for putting it on the web, where you can download as you please. Where do you stay? Regards Adrian Posted by adrian on 22 March 2010 |

I was curious to know if there was any way that I could get a picture of the portrait of Major Jackson that is in the Jubilee Hall? I'm doing some research on Randle Jackson (I have one of his swords) and it would be great to put a face to history. Also, any pictures of his headstone, or a description thereof, would be welcome.
Regards,
Mike
