Darwen Brass is a new band based in Darwen, Lancashire and was formed in January 2007 to be the intermediate band between the Blackburn and Darwen Junior Brass Band and the Blackburn and Darwen Senior Brass Band. This band is for players to move up to from the junior band or for any adult player of even moderate playing skill, and is for those players who are enthusiastic and wanting to improve their ability’s.

Although a “new band” there already exists a strong sense of social community, this proves itself as the band in general works as a team with great spirit. There are players of various strength or experience. Along with Steve our MD, all are ready to help along those who are determined to improve their own playing.

Several concerts have already been undertaken, with already two contests entered, coming fourth in the second. The band is moving forward with great improvement as time goes on.

If you can play any brass instrument to a moderate level, please come along and join in.
