Cowal Dog Training Club

Welcome to the Cowal Dog Training Club website. Our club has been established for over 30 years and is registered with the Kennel Club to examine the Good Citizens Awards Scheme. The methods of training used are positive re-enforcement in accordance with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Code of Practice.  We run weekly classes for dogs and welcome dogs (and handlers!) of all types, ages, needs and abilities.  These include Puppy, Junior, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced classes, which work towards the Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards.  We also periodically run ring craft and agility classes, depending upon need.

The Club is run by a Committee of dedicated volunteers, and all of the dog trainers either have KC accredited qualifications, or are working towards them.  We aim to promote responsible dog ownership and to educate the public how to train and look after their dogs.  The Club is registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and we hold various fund raising events to boost our income.  We hope you find this website informative and please do contact us if you need any further information or advice/guidance.
