Cherry discovered needle-felting recently, she was instantly hooked (pun intended!) and began to experiment with 3D and 2D forms,

“I found the medium opened a huge world of creativeness for me, I especially like working on the 3D animals, giving each one a quirky expression. I sometimes combine tweed into my work, it works well with the wool and I just love the texture and patterns available”.

Working mainly in felt and occasionally including reclaimed and recycled textiles, she draws her main inspiration from the animal world around her Highland home, especially woodland creatures.
