Cedar Springs Prophetic Healing Ministry Is A Bondage Breaker!!!

The Year of the Lord’s Favour

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our   God, to comfort all who mourn,  and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendour."
                                                                                                    Isaiah 61 : 1-3

Understanding Deliverance...

Do you want deliverance from sin? Good. But if you are already a Christian, you are asking for something you already have. Rather than deliverance from sin, you may need deliverance from blindness to the fact you already are delivered. Or perhaps from unbelief. But the reality is, if you are saved, you GOT THAT WAY by being delivered from sin.

Before continuing, we need to be clear about a couple of terms. First of all, deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ is not deliverance from the POSSIBILITY of sin. It is not deliverance from the PRESENCE of sin. If you are saved, you can sin anytime you want to sin. You have free will. Sin is no less possible for you now than it was before. Indeed, each of us prove this everyday. John says:

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

(1 John 1:8)

So what does deliverance from sin mean? Well, it means MORE than just being delivered from the PENALTY FOR sin. We are delivered from the penalty of sin through Christ. But that alone would do nothing to change us unless – what? Unless we are delivered from SIN ITSELF!

But wait. We haven’t yet answered the question. What does it mean to be delivered from sin – from sin itself? We have seen it does not mean to be delivered from the possibility of sin, or merely from the penalty of sin. So what is the answer. Just this: Through the Cross of Jesus Christ we are delivered from the POWER of sin.

In short, what this means is that you are no longer a slave to sin. Sin has no more dominion over you. If you are, "in Christ," you no longer have to sin. You are free to obey God.

The most comprehensive passage on this subject is found in Romans 6: 5-14

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

(Romans 6:5-14)
