The Carerwatch website was born out of the frustration of finding the Social Care System unfit for purpose.

Gordon Brown has ordered a Commission to be set up to investigate what changes are needed. He has stated that he intends this Government to be a listening Government.

The Carerwatch website has been created for Carers and all users of the Care System who feel the system has failed to meet their needs to tell the Commission and the Government the information they need to improve the Social Care system in the UK.

Every day we hear through various media outlets that Local Authorities are closing, withdrawing or cutting back on essential facilities and services. The closure of one day care facility has the potential to have a wide ranging impact on many peoples quality of life.

The already inadequate Social Care System is dying on it's feet. We have to halt that process, not next year, we have to halt it Now.
