I was born in Glasgow on December the sixth, 1954. I've been a bus driver, a van driver, worked in a brickworks and a steel works. Most of my working life though, was as a lecturer or senior lecturer teaching management and English at a college and university in Glasgow. After I accepted an early retirement package I spent a year living and working in Santander, Spain. Now I'm a freelance writer.
My first two articles were titled 'Why Donald Trump will win the election', a humourous look at the strange events of 2016 and The Hidden Gem, an article about the city of Santander.
I'm inspired by writers such as A A Gill, Anthony Bourdain and P J O'Rourke.
