EXPERIENCE
I have a wealth of experience gained in a variety of settings. For two years during my time in Canada, I taught courses devoted to the exploration of our spiritual dimension (Transformational Arts College) and co-facilitated an Aftercare Group for women recovering from a chemical dependency (Jean Tweed Treatment Centre).
After coming to Scotland, for seven years I was an Outreach Worker (Ross-shire Women’s Aid), offering support and information to women who had experienced abuse and/or violence at some point in their lives.
For the past three years, I provided a counselling service for a medical practice in Inverness (Kinmylies Medical Practice).

SPECIFIC EMPHASIS
As a counsellor trained in the Person Centred Approach, I have a deep respect for each person I meet and I trust in each person’s inner knowing.
Within the context of a therapeutic relationship, with the client as my guide, together we explore the landscape of that person’s outer situation and her/his inner world. In this way, healing can begin to take place.
