The General Election and workers' rights

The General Election and workers' rights

The Tories on about workers’ rights is quite ridiculous -  Fees for Tribunals - The Trades Union Act (2016) which has made industrial action very difficult.

“The idea that the Tories will somehow champion employment rights is a joke. Just look at Theresa May's record, she voted to double the amount of time workers have to wait before they get their employment rights from one year - to two. She voted to charge people to go to an employment tribunal, charging people to seek justice if they've been discriminated against. She voted for the Trade Union Bill to make it harder for trade unions to stand up for working people and she voted to slash tax credits taking thousands away from working families” Yvette Cooper.
