Growing some tail feathers and a loud persistant squeak, this fledgling goldfinch was handed to the zoo office 48 hours ago. I hope release is only a matter of days away; it would help a lot if I could be sure where it had been found. It is feeding on egg food, the crumble people give to canaries to rear their chicks,and looking a tad ungroomed! fingers crossed!
