Williams - We Had To Take Three Points

GERAINT WILLIAMS was delighted to pick up three points from his first home game in charge of the O's.

Stephen Purches struck early to condemn fellow strugglers Crewe to a 1-0 defeat and end Orient's three-month wait for a home success.

And new boss Williams felt it was just reward for a hardworking performance.

He said: "It was always going to be nerve racking with one goal in it, but I thought the lads defended well and only gave them half chances.
