Ivor Derrick Frowen
My father Derrick recently passed away but he did a chance to see a few of the pictures that were posted here. Dad was with baker troop in Malta, but just prior to the deployment to Egypt he shipped out.
I'm trying to find out if he was entitled to any medals or honours because i am a current serving member in the Canadian Forces i would like to have his honours along with fathers.
Thanks for looking after this site. It meant alot to my family to see the old pictures.

Tracing my father
My father, Ronald cole, died in 2011, and I am trying to find out about him. He joined as a junior marine in 1948 age 16, then a royal marine commando in 1950 at the age of 18, we believe he served with distinction in the Middle East
Many thanks
Dear Jacqueline,
I am sorry that we have no information on Ronald Cole and therefore cannot assist you further in your search. However it may be that some other person who may have known your father may at sometime read your request and contact us in which case I shall get back to you.
Good luck in your search.
Brian Clark
Many thanks

Thank you for getting in touch. Yes I remember Derrick ('Gog') Frowen very well although we were not close oppo's. I apologise for not replying sooner but since last Christmas I have had a succession of falls resulting in broken bones etc that limit my dexterity with the computer. if you let me have your email address I shall reply answering your queries
.
