THE BLACK ISLE SINGERS

Welcome to the website of the BLACK ISLE SINGERS. We are a friendly choir based in the Highlands of Scotland, on the Black Isle just north of Inverness. We meet weekly at Fortrose Academy.

The Black Isle Singers extend a warm invitation to anyone that likes to sing to come and join us as we commence our 2015-16 season.

Our musical director and conductor is Anne McIntyre, a talented and energetic musician with a huge amount of experience in both teaching and performing. As well as directing our rehearsals, she often plays the piano for us. The music we sing is interesting and varied, ranging from popular to classical, light hearted to more serious - we'll try anything!

Positions Open: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass
Physical Qualifications: Must be able to carry light musical notes part way across a hall. Must have sufficient vision to see the conductor 20 feet away.
Experience: No application accepted from persons who have not sung, hummed or whistled in the bathtub or shower.
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings 7.30 – 9.00 pm, school term time.
Venue: Fortrose Academy, Fortrose.
