Anyone requiring bird seed should contact Paul.
The option of the release of mine water into the Lumley Park Burn as outlined below, was still awaiting another report.
1. That the water level underground would be allowed to rise and gradually find old mine workings which would eventually run off into the river Wear at Chatershaugh, Fatfield into the tidal area of the river.

A prototype, rotating compost bin, has been produced by Martin using a 45 gallon barrel and frame which is working quite well.

Fly tipping near the Coates site has been on the increase. Therefore if anyone sees any tipping they are asked to contact 0800 80 70 60 to report this.
Questions were asked about the old Community Site and its security fencing, this is on going, with little progress to report.

The quality of the Compost dumped on the old landfill site at Lumley Thicks seems to have improved since the site meeting. Fewer plastics were in view.
Members had heard that there may be an opportunity, in the near future for more plastics to be recycled, which is good news.
There seems to be an on going problem with motorcycles using the land fill site, this needs to be monitored and reported to the police when it happens.

A question was raised about the purchase of apple trees; this was brought up from last year when Paul advised us that he could purchase apple trees at a good price.
