Finally we have started to chip the branches that were cut last year in an effort to bring the willow hedges into control. We have had to wait for two nesting blackbird sites to hatch. One has been successful and we are awaiting the second one to rear its chicks and fly away. We have been lucky to have been loaned the Allotment Associations chipper for this task, and are very gratefull.
