OPENING OF GREEN
It has been decided that the green will open in Phase 1 on Tuesday 2 Jun at 2pm. Guidance from Bowls Scotland the Scottish Government and sportscotland will be followed. Full details can be found on Bowls Scotland and Scottish Government websites.
The opening of the green is subject to these guidelines.
Players should only play if they feel fit, well and can adhere to these guide lines.
Bowling can resume but should ONLY include practice individually or games with members of your own household or between members of two households where social distancing can be maintained.
Club facilities (including toilets) will remain closed until further notice.
Gents and Ladies Locker rooms will remain closed until further notice. They will be open on the opening day from 2pm for members to collect their own bowls and shoes to take away with them.
The front door to the club and the bar area will remain closed and locked until further notice.
The green will be laid out for 3 rinks. A rink booking system will be introduced and a control made for those wishing to book a rink. They will be required to provide the names of those playing and an emergency contact number. Bookings can be made thorough the Club Secretary Martin Brown telephone 07765 644061 or the Match Secretary Allan Gibb telephone 07845 929557. The rinks will be open from:
11am to 9pm Tue, Thurs, Sat and Sun.
1pm to 9pm Mon, Wed and Fri to allow maintenance of the greens.
No spectators are allowed at the green.
Guidance for players
Players who have COVID-19 symptoms or if anyone in their household that displays symptoms should stay at home.
Players who are at a higher risk; have a underlying health condition or are in a shielding category should remain at home.
Players over 70 and over can play but should follow Scottish Government guidelines to make their own decision about returning.
Players should observe social distancing on the green and should be adhered to at all times and avoid clustering together.
Players should not attempt to enter the club house as these facilities will remain closed. They are to avoid making contact with any hard surfaces ie the railings and chairs along side the green.
Players should use separate mats and jacks at all times. They are to ensure that they have been cleaned and dried prior to use and after conclusion of play. Facilities will be made available for this to happen.
Players must bring their own hand sanitiser and use this throughout play.
These guidelines have been put into place so that we can keep within the guidance given and for the safe opening of the green in Phase 1 and with your own safety in mind.
