Welcome to Alford Farmers' Market

Fourth Saturday each month  9.00am - 1.00pm

Following the roaring success of the first ever Alford Farmers' Market in September, Alford Heritage Centre and Museum have decided to run a monthly farmers market on the fourth Saturday of each month starting Saturday 31st October 2009.

There will be a range of stalls offering a wide range of produce and products, and we hope that the Farmers' Market will provide an opportunity for local folk to shop for items produced locally whilst also bringing additional trade to the existing shops in Alford. By keeping traders as local as possible we hope to contribute in a small part to a reduction in the village's carbon footprint whilst also supporting Scottish produce and products, which we believe to be some of the finest in the world.

We hope to make Alford Farmers' Market one of the friendliest of all such markets and hope that both locals and visitors will support this new venture. It is hoped to provide a selection of musical entertainment to make the shopping experience unique and enjoyable for all concerned, organisers, traders, and most importantly, you, the customers. So we hope you will come along to the Alford Farmers' Market at the rear and side of the Old Mart on the fourth Saturday of each month.....and on your visit, why not take the opportunity to visit Alford's very own jewellery shop, Gaelo, on site in the foyer of the Museum.

Please note that all profits from this venture will go directly to support the work of the Alford Heritage Centre and Museum and to help with the upkeep of the Old Auction Mart building.

Please check news section and calendar for details of the market during winter months. Please note, the Market will move inside the Museum during winter.
