PLAYER PROFILES

Welcome to the Guiseley Red Lion FC Player Profiles.

Player/Manager | Alexis McInnes
Alexis McInnes

Albert FC Vice Captain, will probably see a lot of the armband this year as Mr Allen likes a rest.

Smex is a hard defender and chucks himself in the way of anything. He is also a prolific goalscorer.
Left/Right Back | Matthew Laughey
Matthew Laughey

Best remembered for his magnificent wonder goal in the medal cup finale a number of years back. The one that was disguised as a cross!!
Central Midfield | Webmaster - Kristian Sutton
Kristian Sutton

I have played at Guiseley Red lion (formerly Albert FC) since 2004, i've seen us be promoted twice and win a few pots, its been a great team to play for and i am hoping we can re-kindle some of our success.

Utility | Oliver Halliday
Oliver Halliday

Oli is a free kick specialist & an all round great player, he played most of the season in nets but can also score vital goals, which kind of sums the kid up!

Enjoys urinating on fellow players in the shower (the freak).
Central Midfield | Skipper - Jimmy Allan
Jimmy Allan

Club Captain for a number of seasons, Jimmy is an inspiration to all the lads. Strong in the air with a great football brain. Has numerous honours managing local sunday side Rawdon AFC.

Jimmy has taken on the role of Assistant Manager.
Sweeper | Steve Middleton
Steve Middleton

Managers & Player's player for just about every season I can remember. A massive player for the team, though the quietest. The silent assassin. Steve has been ever present for the last four seasons, his speed and power are a match for any centre forward.
Right Back, Midfield | Aaron Welsh

Quick, not afraid of a tackle & consistant, Stavros like bombing down the flanks and cutting inside or crossing.
Attacking Midfield | Damien Flemming
Damien Flemming

Damo is a brilliant player on his day and can be a match winner.

He is capable of scoring important goals.
Attacking midfielder | Steven Braniak

A recent aquisition from our feeder club Rawdon AFC, he comes from a great pool of talent we often call upon, Brannie can be prolific, we are hoping he plays every week.
Striker | Martin Booth

New signing from Pool FC - marked his debut with a neat finish, a good striker with a bit of pace!
Striker | Danny Hough
Danny Hough

Danny had an outstanding year last season. Top scorer with 23 goals from the centre of the park, gives you an indication of his potential. We'll know for certain how good a player he really is if he repeats his goalscoring exploits this season
Centre Forward | Rick Norman

A good old fashioned centre forward. Rick has a nack of finding the back of the net - he can score net busting super goals in the last minutes as well as a tap in, Its good to see the big man back in the fold!
Utility | Mark Paris

Parris is a good team player and always breaks up play and passes the easy ball, a great asset for any team.

Mark has been a reliant member of the Albert for a number of seasons and filled in a number of positions to great effect.
Target Man | Anthony (Tino) Gilks

Played at a high level for a number of years Tino has come to the Albert at the peak of his illustrious career and feels that he has now finally reached the pinnacle of what has been a fantastic career
Striker / Winger | Nicky Wescott
Nicky Wescott

Quick and lethal around the box, Nicky had a mixed season last year and didn't get the chances or the breaks. Players Player of the year the seaon before.

We will be looking out for the Wescott of old this coming season.
Right Wing | Terry Sandford

Lightning quick with an eye for goal, it is good to see Terry back with us this year.

Hopefully Yarl wont lead him ash-tray.... ?
