                                                                       About Brid

 

Brid Walsh is a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist based in the Scottish Highlands. Brid firstly qualified with a four year BSc honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick in Ireland in 2004. She then qualified from the  from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2007 with an MSc in Physiotherapy Since that time, she has worked in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh and Ireland in private practice outpatient clinics, various Scottish sports teams, and as a veterinary physiotherapy assistant.

 

 

Brid then returned to university to study Veterinary Physiotherapy at the Royal Veterinary College in London.She qualified in 2011 with a post graduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Following this, Brid provided maternity full time veterinary physiotherapy cover for Animal physio plushttp://www.animalphysioplus.com/ covering Edinburgh, the Borders, Fife and Stirlingshire, as well as a canine rehabilitation centre http://www.linksvet.co.uk/canine-rehabilitation-centre .
Brid has also working in various inpatient and outpatient hospitals including Spires Murrayfield Edinburgh. During this time, she has progressed many qualifications including APPI Mat work 1,2,3 Pilates Instructors which she incorporates in her treatment of animals, riders, and combining together.
 
She now continues to treat horses and dogs, as well as riders and other musculoskeletal problems covering the Scottish highlands and Islands.
She continues to practice her human physiotherapy in Raigmore Hospital Inverness.
 
As a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist, Brid adheres to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy's regulations and standards of practice and has professional and public liability insurance.
 
She works closely with the Veterinary profession and other specialists to provide the highest standard of care for your animal.
