Variety for Charity!

On 29th September 2010, our lovely son, Aidan, left on his bike for school. He never made it. In a heartbeat, our lives were changed forever.
Aidan was the funniest, kindest, friendliest, most affectionate boy you could ever wish to meet. He loved all people. It didn’t matter if they were young or old, black or white, straight or gay! In his 12 short years he seemed to have gained the ability to make people feel at ease, interesting, worthwhile. He’d happily chat to anyone; he’d say ‘a stranger is only a friend you haven’t met yet’!

Aidan's Journey

On March 18th, Aidan should be turning 18. We should be thinking about parties, university, jobs, life…

Of course, Aidan is never far from our thoughts but I’ve been thinking a lot recently about what we can do to mark Aidan’s 18th.

This is where you come in! I have set up a Facebook page – ‘Aidan’s Journey’ and I’d love to see how many places Aidan can ‘visit’ in 2016.

So, if you’re travelling anywhere in 2016, please print off Aidan’s photo and take it with you. Then take a pic of the photo at your location and post to ‘Aidan’s Journey’. It’s as simple as that!

Thank you for your support - we look forward to seeing how far Aidan can travel!

The Show Must Go On

Our dear friend Peter who, with his wife Kim, set up Aidan’s Angels to help us after we’d lost Aidan, passed away very suddenly on Monday 3 November 2014. He is not only our very dear friend but Aidan’s Angels musical director and bass singer.
It is a devastating blow to lose such a talented and lovely man.

In tribute and honour of Peter, Aidan's Angels show 'The Show Must Go On' raised over £2400 for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) as well as our usual charities; Lytchett Matravers Village Hall and The Mtitu Foundation.

Aidan's Angels

In 2011, with the help of some very dear friends, we staged a Variety Show ‘Don’t Stop Me Now – In Memory of Aidan O’Neill’. The show was an amazing success, the Hall was packed for both performances and we raised an incredible £4500 which we split between UNICEF and The Mtitu Foundation, a small voluntary organisation set up to help a village in Tanzania which, thanks in part to the generosity of our audiences, now has a school!
In November 2012, Linsey, Steve, Alex and Tracy visited Mtitu and were delighted to be able to open the first block of the Mount Calvary Secondary School in Mtitu. 'Aidan's Block' is now home to 20 students and just the start of a fantastic new school for the Village. See our photo gallery for some great photos!

Kim has kindly asked that donations in Peter's memory go to Aidan's Angels.

If you would like to make a donation, you can do so online here:

Thank you for your support.

Random Acts of Kindness

At Christmas, to help us through the day, we ask people to do small acts of kindness and dedicate them to Aidan. Aidan was always the first to help anyone out and it seems a fitting tribute to him to do little kindnesses in his name. We have been overwhelmed with the response, from friends, acquaintances, strangers and when we read them all on Christmas morning our hearts are truly warmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness carried out in Aidan’s name. We hope that everyone will continue to carry out random acts of kindness for Aidan, please let us know when you do! Please email angels@linsey-oneill-design.co.uk
