Revolting Stockport Residents!

No, we are not being personal about Stockport residents! We acknowlege that many of them are very nice people.

That said, Stockport residents are revolting and they are revolting against Firstport in increasing numbers.

When Sue Earnshaw (a former very popular manager at Firstport) set up Select she was asked by residents if her company would manage their development.

More than virtually any other "Right to Manage" Firstport brought out the big guns to defend any RTM particularly any RTM that would end up with Select being appointed to manage.

Every tactic that could be used was. Nothing was beyond the trickery of Firstport.

And why?

Firstport recognised at an early stage the danger inherent in "Word & Mouth"

The knew that there was a world of difference between one development carrying out a right to manage (even publicising it on social media) and a development down the road carrying out a right to manage and talking to residents in other developments.

Firstport's fears have been realised. They have lost more developments to Select(another three have recently been added)

Firstport can't stop people talking to each-other ,especially in an area such as Stockport, which as the phrase goes is a close knit community.

So in an area where Firstport manages several broadly speaking similar developments the question bein asked is "Why are we paying up to 30% more in service charges than the development down the road that don't have Firstport as their managing agents?"

A good question indeed, which Firstport appear reluctant to answer!

Thus far Firstport's response has been to inform residents that service charge demands/accounts are confidential and should not been shown to non residents.

That doesn't stop non Firstport managed residents showing how much less their service charges areto other developments though?

If Select can do it in the Stockport area, other Firstport employees can go down the same route in their areas. Go for It!
