Working under great pressure it is all too easy to transpose numbers.
That is how it came to be that a development had a large credit to their service charge trust account, which was destined for another similarly named development.
The error was not spotted by Peverel, but by a resident who had requested the service charge accounts and noticed an unexplained credit running into several thousands of pounds.
Thus far Pevere; have refused to demonstrate what processes they have to ensure that the correct development is either billed or credited.
It would appear that mistakes are very likely given the extreme workload their staff work under (a few seconds for each payment and if you stop to check you fall behind)
