Orkney 2018

The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE-UKI) Postgraduate Conference will be held in Orkney in September 2018 in conjunction with the Orkney International Science Festival.

The Conference will run from Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 September, and will include outings to see at first hand some of Orkney’s landscape and marine renewable energy developments.

Several of the Conference events will be collaborations with the Science Festival and for those who wish to stay on and see some more of the Festival events, and more of the sights of Orkney, there will be opportunities to make additional arrangements.

There is also an opportunity for two people, one aged 26 or under, to give a lecture and have their travel and accommodation costs covered. This lecture competition is part of the Year of Young People in Scotland in 2018.
