I thought it was a great success and everything went very smoothly. It must have involved a huge amount of time and effort, but the good news is that it should be much easier next year.

I really enjoyed stage 4 with its fantastic scenery. The final hill was a bit of a comedy show; it would be interesting to find out whether anyone managed to run to the top as walking the steep bit was just as fast. (note to self - must ask Steve Smythe for some stile ascent training before next year's relay).

There was very positive feedback from members of our 4 teams and it is highly likely that we'll field multiple teams again next year.

Thanks for all your hard work in planning such a well organised race. We all enjoyed ourselves and gave it our all. As West Sussex runners we only occasionally venture into East Sussex for a town race, but this was a great chance to see some truly beautiful countryside and magnificent castles. The marshals along the way were numerous and very helpful. 

Please pass on our thanks. I think a couple of us went astray slightly, but were called back by runners following behind so nothing too disastrous ! It was a good idea to start each stage separately so that it reduced the overall time taken and we were all able to get to Rye to see our runners home.

I expect you are relieved it went so well and the weather was kind.

Maybe see you again next year.

We absolutely loved it - brilliant organisation, fantastic marshalling and a glorious route across our lovely part of Sussex! With teams having come from far and wide it made us realise how spoilt we are for scenery and running options (Fleur may dispute that about Doleham!) down here in our little corner of heaven.

We are already planning next year so look forward to seeing you again then if not before.
